can he stay untagged the whole reset and end up top 25 or top 10 even? would that be the first time in alliance history that a country stayed untagged and ended that high? or would he need to jump into a tag (Laf probably) at some point?

id love to see an untag in the top 10. that would be a big fluff you to the big "tag protected" clans

but you have to hold a lot more defence so final networth would be lower

and if you didnt go early mbr there could be a high risk of someone grabbing you for mbr land since your high networth might just make you easier to get good gains from at that point

As for it (top 10 untagged) never having been done before . . . I think t-Mac did it once in the later years of E2025. I may be wrong.

At least he isn't feeding land to anyone. I have seen plenty of suiciders allied to anyone from neo to evo to sol or ely. Never felt the need to comment about that.

His pacts are really why he is doing so well. He is in a really strong tech ring.

Smart start up since all his hits were retals. But he is starting to grab and hitting PDM and Elysium on consecutive days is a good way to get yourself killed.

Anyways, before you flip out, we're not going to kill either. We can't even retal the LaFer yet, but we're working on getting the capability. Kind of our fault for being unprepared.

some1 was at top10 at joltomac's alliance couple sets before joltomac unplugged earth (I think there was debate at boards will that player stay there and who it is), it wasn't that hard since all big alliances (sof, sol, laf, etc) were at EC.

You're not a true untagged if you use clan hosting sites to look at ingame information of any kind.

the top 3 ely countries are 4.7 4.5 and 2.6m nw

obviously due to the nw differance the gains going both ways will be much lower except for the top 2

although the 3rd guy does have more land im not going to calc whether gains would still be similar

the 4th country is less desirable again as a target

so of course it makes more sense to grab some countries rather than others

Half the untagged I ever spied have allies in clans. They don't manage to do this well. Lets just say there are no untagged unless they dont have allies eh?

I am calling bullfluff. PDM has led the charge to increase the ammount of grabbing this set. I had to smack down one of our own members because he was crying about PDM grabbing him so much, when he himself could not take the retals. We sucked it up, did our retals and grabbed you guys a few times and suddenly PDM is in our news a lot less.

If you guys are going to talk the talk - you are going to have to walk the walk. I am sensing a bit of a disconnect between Detmers dream of a lazzais fair grabbing environment with the reality of PDMers reactions after logging into to unfavorable news.

It would be rather ironic if the excessive pacting and onerous retal policies led to the creation of more untagged 'ninja countries' that were created to get around their own tags pacting and retal policies. I bet a land fat #242's benefits to his teching allies is not going un-noticed by LaF leadership.

For PDM to even suggest the thought of killing him over land grabs is totally against everything they've been preaching. I'd venture to say that if they did kill someone over a few LG's then they would have some explaining to do as that would discredit a lot of what they are trying to accomplish in this game.

I'd hate to see PDM put themselves in a position like that with the community.

Was reading over threads from last set about how small tags stand no chance against being farmed by big alliances. I find this thread to be a nice response to all those complaints...

Actually the tech ring I am in is really crappy. In the past week I have only gotten tech from 1 person (my good tech ally) the 2nd switched to I think farmer and the other went inactive. I'm trying to get new tech allies right now found one and think i found the other too.

My def allies however are good.
