Are your current ones WD 7200 I think almost any make bought in the last year?

I only ask because I witnessed a batch fail over 6 months times.

It makes me wonder if they just sold their flooded ones to everyone in those nifty little "auctions" they did last year.


The ones that failed were 64mb cache, 1TB, Sata2, WD, 7200rpm. Bought post flood.

I never got a reply from Qz but I found 3 people so far that bought a batch of WDs and had a failure on a 6 month or less old drive.

In fact I am sitting here today correcting my 3rd fail on the same site from the same batch within 6 months right now.

I have no idea if this drive issue QZ is talking about is similar but I find it slightly more than coincidental.

saw article few months ago about cheap hdds and those were watered hdds, can't remember who was selling those nor find that article.

They were 64mb cache 2TB sata III WD 7200rpm; they've died 2x before, this would be the third....

are they under warranty or you paying for these each time?

Did i mention that I *HATE* hard drives....

and yes, they're under warranty; I buy the in-store 4 year instant-product-replacement on hard drives due to my extreme bad luck with them...
