Why do enemy operatives "steal" $X and then destroy $0? They always "destroy $0 worth of cash." If nothing is ever being destroyed why does that part of the op exist?

In team servers, $ get destroyed. You cant steal from someone on like 1a and team.

Think you are only able to steal in solo servers

So for example, if someone bomb your banks in 1a/team, it will show

Oh, weird. Why the distinction?

Because we dont want people in team servers to be stocking cash and letting a guy to steal it all to win the set.

Isn't that a bigger risk in Primary servers?

In team servers you can just send aid anyway to help someone win the set.

I dont know about Primary, but I've never seen anyone abusing this yet. Given that we have 54 turns a day, 10 will be used for spy ops, 10 for grabbing and 15 for building, the rest will be put into CSes. Probably none left for stealing. And at nearer end to the set, to be able to steal that amount of cash, your 'friend' has to have 3-4b cash on hand, and he has to be within 1/4 range of you too. Well, tbh I dont know .lol

Major opening for abuse in express. Have your friend stock $2b or more, you run a commie, have 360 turns left in last 15 minutes, friend drops all spies, you bomb banks 120 times and fund your destock! I've actually suspected people of that before but only as pure conjecture

I'm not sure about express if you steal or destroy cash. I'm sure that 1a and team destroys cash and primary and tourney gets cash stolen.

Not really elves. if the suspect country is running turns or playing their country, their net will go up anyway. How would anyone know you're stealing cash, or from who? And even if someone suspected so and somehow had a suspicion which country was being robbed, just the fact that their net dipped in between two 5 minute updates doesn't go a long way to proving anything

both need to be basically equal nw so it wouldn't work that well, "donating person" would need to spend money to keep nws same so spier wouldn't get that much.

Even with spies dropped, wouldn't you still run into significant Spy DR?

Also, my experience with bomb banks - you get the best results if you have at least as much cash as your target.

So to _efficiently_ steal from that $2B guy, you'd want to space it out over several days (limited ops / day and spy dr issues) and you'd want to already have close to $2B on hand (watch for decay), etc.

I've read you steal the lower of 3% of your target's cash on hand, or 5% of your cash on hand. Same goes for food and (I assume) tech.
