I'm trying to join a tag in Team - there is a 5 player limit.

One player self-deleted, and the team shows 4 members, however, when I try to join with the tag/password, I see the message:
"Tag is full!"

Perhaps when checking if a tag is full, it doesn't account for self-deleted countries? Either that or perhaps the number of clan members isn't updated correctly?

Its 5 accounts max

So if there are 5 linked accounts to one team, then no one else can join. The way its set up it doesnt matter if someone died or deleted or whatever

SUGGESTION: why not make it so that self-deletions in the first 5 days (or similar) of the set aren't bound by these rules? I see the reason for the rule when wars take place, so that restarts are identified in the same tag - that part makes sense.

however early self-deletions aren't really a route by which exploitation can occur. it merely adds limitations.

What if someone wanted to leave the tag permanently or to switch tags?

There isn't any way to remove someone from a tag as an admin and invite someone else (similar to Alliance)?

once you get in 1 tag at team you are in that tag until set ends, unless you make 2nd account (which is against rules).
Patience: Yep, I'm with ELK and Marshal.

ELKronos: Patty is more hairy.

Gallery: K at least I am to my expectations now.

LadyGrizz boobies is fine

NOW3P: Morwen is a much harsher mistress than boredom....

But if someone leaves a tag (ie. via self-deletion), and no longer plays on that server, it still limits the tag to only 4 people.

This means your tag is now forced to have 4 people until the next reset. It seems kind of silly if someone quits you can't recruit anyone else to the tag to fill that spot.

Correct. I wasn't saying that I agree with this, but that is just the way it is set up. There is no bug or anything.

I suggest that there is some leverage here as well to replace an inactive or self deleted player etc.

it could either be a "bug" or "intended functionality" if that's the way it was meant to me.

Looking at the way alliance clan/tag works, I would've assumed that Team should have had similar capabilities?

I guess I'll wait until qz or another administrator can speak to this.

I think the difference is in the "spirit of team" you get a 5 man team. So its the same 5 guys that start and have to finish on that tag regardless of what happens after they join.

But im sure qz or someone else will clarify this soon :P

Yea; it's supposed to be the same 5 guys; you're not supposed to be able to switch teams, otherwise you could have the top 5 countries create a new team at the end of the reset...
Finally did the signature thing.

yeh but if someone self deletes this is a seperate issue to people detagging and making a new tag

That's a good point. Prevent people from creating new teams and switching teams once they have joined. But what about tags where a country deletes because a player has "quit". It should still be allowed to have non-tagged countries join shouldn't it? If the country has already joined another tag, it won't be able to leave the first one anyways (so no tag jumping to create a super tag at end of set).

It will still only be 5 active countries within the tag (none of which have tag jumped) - which is still within the "spirit of the team".

ingle makes a good point... it does seem to be overly restrictive. Would my earlier suggestion present any potential problems?

I'll argue that you could do this on Alliance too... why isn't it a problem there?

Theres 0 restrictions on alliance and FFA. Team has the max of 5, and apparently it can be only those 5

make a vote on it rather than just dismiss it tho guys
it may or may not be popular
also i dont think it needs to be the same 5
cause how many people leave in alliance midset to go play somewhere else 5% of players? in team thats like 5 people hardly a mind boogling amount
just make it so last week you cant change if your worried about a super team but if 5 were good enough and friendly enough to come together in 1 team at the end why not do it at the start...?
