Instead of having a dead country listed, is it possible to let the dead ally relation get carried over to the restart of the same player and make it a "pending" sort of thing?
If it would just carry over as real pact, it might cause unwanted effects. It would be easier for the living country too, but if that player really wants to have his allies full 24/7, he can cancel the pending one just like he could cancel a dead one.
With the 'pending'-method, both countries would have no costs till it's accepted again (especially for the restart untill he's oop).
And it would be easier to get your main allies back. I for instance always pact two or three of the same people. If you want FA as restart, you can always just ignore the pending, or use a trade pact.
Would also be good if this was only limited to countries that are tagged and pacted within the same clan (to avoid that you stay pacted with a banned jerk by accident).
I didn't think this through further so maybe there are reasons against it. =p
(side-note)
PLEASE make it so that no restarts have 0 or close to 0 turns. There is nothing as discouraging as being super active, spending turns on walling and then being discouraged from your activity by having no turns on your restart. It kicks you out of the war for several days, with work/life schedules that can easily mean you miss 4 days of war.
Especially when some inactive jerk who didn't bother to wake up at 4AM, gets lots of turns and his stored ones on top, that feels really bitter. And since he is less active that also means that his turns will not have as much value as the turns of a very active player (who might just end up with 0 to start with).
I've said this before and it happened to me again this reset. I've talked with returning players who were pretty confused (and later annoyed) about this system. (Also, it really messes your personal hit stats up, some people care about that) I've seen more people complain recently, just thought I'd moan about it again.
