it's Google ads, so it's Google knowing what you do.
the ads we use also support a feature called retargeting, which allows advertisers to show you ads based on what you did on their sites.
if you are on newegg looking at hard drives, you may see an add for newegg showing you that hard drive + similar ones on sale.
for instance, just like you, I am being served cheaper options for something I just bought from Expedia. Although the dates don't work... so it's not totally effective. but overall, I like it as both a marketer and a consumer. you're more likely to click the ads that are relevant to you and purchase those products, and then I get more money :p
wait, damn. if you had bought it through an ad click, we would have gotten a few cents/bucks :p
