Not sure if there is another thread here for this.
Let's sticky this and discuss on the DR for express.

My suggestion is we reduce DR from the current 24 hrs to around 10-12 hours.
This would reduce the chance of abuse dramatically.

Please help discuss this as many of us who absolutely love express think this is an important issue to address.

I think more in the 6-8 hr range would be adequate myself. Anything is better than what we have now.

You should carefully define what you mean by "abuse".

6-8 hrs would mean that country can get grabbed by same player 6-9 times per day w/o dr kicking in.

12 hrs is better so countries don't lose that much land per day.

24 hour DR from successful SS/PS is fine. DR from bounced grabs and special attacks are ripe for abuse, as we see set after set.

you need the 24h dr for any country that isn't a commie indy, otherwise they will rape cashers/farmers and they are already quite strong enough.

The game already does that in the last 6 hours of each set.

marshal the simple version is no dr on countries that have hit you in the last x hour, perhaps up to the amount of hits they did on you

works on non-alliance servers but on alliance-servers it would be complicated since not every1 does retalling.

nothing wrong with having an incentive to country:country retals on alliance server if it will give better gains

as long as it doesnt help landtrading, in fact the obvious implementation would nerf landtrading

currently you get

100 100 100 80 80 66 66 50 50

and so on with 47% bonus buildings on each

if a retal on a 3 DR country took 100 instead of 80 but only gave 37.6 instead of 47 ghost then you reduce the gain from 47% of what you lost to 37.6%
