You might want to virus scan your computer. Microsoft Security Essentials is pretty damn good if you want a free one.

i have avast and ad aware free..


we rarely use it, and when we do its for our banking purposes. i havent gotten any red flags so far from my security programs.

bstrong, check your Chrome extensions if you use Chrome. Some types of malware installs itself as Chrome extensions and does what you described - convert random text into ad links.

Malwarebytes is extremely good at finding stuff that avast and adaware doesn't - both of those suck.

We hardly use it. Thats why im confused as to how we picked something up...i will get a better program, my other ones found nothing

If you are using chrome, they are called text enhance.

There are several extensions that might have caused this. Go to a new tab and enter chrome://extensions/ into the addressbar. Look out for an extension that matches the list below and remove/disable them and there will not be any more text enhance.
