Guy was at 22% readiness and I got DHed sending 80% more than needed.

Has this changed since e2025?? A raw defense of 1 mill at 22% readiness should be worth 220k, no?

minimum def readiness is much higher than 22%. i think it's 70% but you'd need to confirm.

Defending readiness is capped at 70%.

Well didn't remember that :p

Even at 70% I still should have broke
How lame

but if the target's def is 70%, that means his def allies can send a lot more, the 10% pang factor is greater, and so on.

Well not really. Keep in mind D allies can only double battle strength, not overall raw attack strength. So 70% of readiness actually will net you less D from allies.

Country A
100% readiness
1 mill turrets
1 d ally of 1 mill turrets
=1.25 raw

Country B
70% readiness
1 mill turrets
1 d ally of 1 mill turrets
= .950 raw

Country C
100% readiness
1 mill turrets
2 d allies 5 mill turrets each
= 2 raw

Country D
70% readiness
1 mill turrets
2 d allies 5 mill turrets each
= 1.4 raw

I suppose you are suggesting that lower readiness may present an illusion at first glance in that now the probability of the country's D allies doubling strength is indeed higher (naturally) , and some may not account for double d... but the main point here is lower readiness = lower break

Hmm actually I think you are suggesting that D allies double before readiness is factored- which isn't true.

"Your total battle strength cannot be more than doubled through allies". Battle strength implies readiness as well.

So I think you were assuming a D of 1 mill turrets at 70% readiness could get up to 1.7 strength once we factor in allies - and it is really only 1.4 and regardless , if his strength were 100% the d ally factor could get him 2 mill D strength , so no matter what the break is always lower with lowered readiness. You seem to imply that having lower readiness could some how help one enjoy a D strength with a sum greater than what it had been at full readiness ... And that of course isn't the case either

Finally, if for some reason the game does factor in d ally strength before readiness (i.e country with 70% readiness, 1 mill turrets and doubled d from allies could get up to 1.7 defense, not 1.4) then the rules are worded improperly and should either be changed to reflect that D allies can double your D before factoring in readiness , or the formula should be changed to reflect the wording and d allies should be factored in after readiness is counted.

Anywaaaay it's still a lower break than the same country at 100% readiness no matter how you slice it

In summation,
Your statement "but if the target's def is 70%, that means his def allies can send a lot more,"
is inherently false.

It is immaterial whether or not allies' contribution to d strength is factored before or after readiness of the country in question. D allies will certainly not send a "lot more" as you say, and in fact that won't send ANY more if readiness is lower. Depending on the readiness factor they either send the same amount or LESS.

1 mill turrets
1 d ally 1 mill turrets
=250k gained from ally at most

Lowering your readiness will never get you more than those 250k from your ally. It only increases the probability that the D gained from allies comes closer to doubling your D (as it's less, and therefore easier to double) than it had when you were at full strength / readiness

The real question is what did you send? Did you send 80 percent more than needed to break if the readiness was ACTUALLY 22 percent? Or did you send more than needed to break at 100 percent?

All i was saying was that if the guy has 10m turrets:

10m * .7 readiness = 7m def . and 7m * .1 = a pang factor of 700,000.
10m * .2 readiness = 2m def. and 2m * .1 = a pang factor of only 200k.

likewise if the person had defense allies with 40m turrets, you'll get 7m defense added when ally doubles his defense in the first case, and only 2m defense added when the ally doubles d in the second.

so, if your target had 70% readiness and you only accounted for 20%, not only did he have more defense than you counted on, but it's possible the pang factor was larger than you calculated and the def ally help was as well.

i can't argue with that, blid.

crest - i undersent considering the 70% readiness factor.
