We all know that 1 of the things this game totally lacks is any form of graphics which would make it a bit more attractive so what i suggest you do is make little icons for military troops and mybe some gif's or photos for the buildings... take as example the game mafiawars on FB which is also text based!

and short animation when earthquake happens.

yes well ppl need to change their way of thinking... and accept that the game also needs to be a bit better looking then only text.

I know there are a lot of old players that are stuck with the 90's mentality but we are in 2013 and all text base games have icons and pohtos of buildings it makes them more attractive to new ppl... and maybe you could have the option of turning them off if you'd want to

current ee-images tend to be cranky when refreshing page like when checking time until bonuses come.

i know that might take a lot of coding and you guys don't have a lot of time but eventually they might appear :), just saying it would be a plus to the game and would help attract new players

images are hosted elsewhere than qz's server.

qz hosts game and izarc hosts images.

that is why you get the delay in loading time?

Yes. Because the Keep-Alive connection doesn't help in downloading images off a different server, so you get an extra few seconds.

Also, turning off images for mobile browsers, really? You'll have to keep toggling that option on/off everyday then. And default mobile Safari doesn't even have that option.

as i said it was just a suggestion

not sure how adblocking ee-images would work/help and ipad-users couldn't do that since no adblock.
