There has always been a lot debates on who 'wins' a set legitimately, how about making the Foreign Aid news history public for all countries on the Top Players ranking page after set end?

If the player has enabled his/her privacy settings, simply mask the player name at the top of the page.

If the privacy settings are not on, display the full name as usual.

In all honestly I think this is a horrible idea. For over 15 years, this has never been shown and it's one of the few things that makes the game great and competitive. People have the option of showing their country set ups after a round is over and since it's optional I think that is fine.

But you already gifted access to the Alpha server. Anyone who wants to has the option to test out every strategy there is as many times are they want with no constraints. If you allow news and statuses to be seen, you are taking peoples competitive and strategic advantages away by sharing that with anyone who wants to see it.

I don't want people to be able to look at my country and market play and figure out what my exact strategies are. I share them with my friends and those that I want to see them. I have a problem with everyone being able view my countries. I taught myself my strategies by trial and error and I think it's going to ruin the game if you're going to start giving everyone's strategies away to anyone who wants to have a look.

Yeah, therefore the suggestion for the FA news. Taking Foreign Aid isn't exactly strategic. I think the same can be extended to Spy Ops, since spy ops done on you are almost exclusively negative.

I believe everything should be public regardless of what everyone else says. You should be accountable for your actions.

we could hide market history and keep everything else; that would hide the only real strategic part of it, and tbh you can figure a good chunk out looking at the market feeds if you want to

The problem with making all FA public is that it removes some of the strategic element when it comes to warring/sneaking FA. Also would make restarting, getting aid, tagging a lot harder.

...isn't this only available AFTER a reset is over? The strategic element is there, but the tactical elements during warfare do not exist after a particular reset is already over.

Also, if this is going to be implemented, I want it implemented for ALL countries--not just those whose owners decide to show their stuff. If the owner "enables privacy options", just leave the owner's name off the info.

Yeah after the reset is over it's probably not as big of a deal from a warring perspective.
For some people it might still have political ramifications for future sets for war as well as for netting but I guess that's not really game mechanic breaking :P

I would agree with all countries..minus the owner's info unless they chose to reveal it.
