1) Add a "Fortify" option with your turns. Something along the lines of you spend a turn to increase your defense by 20% for the next 5 minutes or 5 attacks received, whichever comes first. You could stack these (cap at double defense) so, if you did this five times, you'd spend five turns to have double defense for the next five minutes or five attacks received.

2) Add a "Reinforce" option where you effectively PS defense to an ally. You could send 1M turrets to your ally to help them defend - you'd just be down 1M turrets for your defense for the next 20 (or 22, whatever it is) hours. Don't know if this should be all allies or just defense allies able to do this.

The first suggestion would unbalance tyrannies even more in war, as they have so many more surplus turns than non-tyrannies.

i prefer the second option

the first one seems like it could slow things down a lot rather than actually having a lot of effect

perhaps have reinforce show in news with the amount

Maybe reinforce would show in the news, but not the amount. Realistically though if it shows in the news then a bot would just immediately pick that up and say to hold until a new op was up, which defeats some of the purpose of reinforcements. (although certainly not entirely)

Maybe fortify should consume readiness, to make it balanced.

reinforce could be balanced with readiness too

so a big one cost more readiness/attacks than a small one

id even be interested in a sliding scale of cost where

defence allies 1x
other allies 2x
tag members 3x

could make it so you could still send but it would cost a lot more turns

could make it so sending 10% to a d ally cost either 7% or 10% or something, cap max send% at a certain amount

maybe allow max 5 brigades

or combo the 5 brigades with ps's to force a choice

Something like what enshula said would be a solid implementation
