Giving somebody a bonus just because they can press the Submit Message button is weak. The bonus is (or should be) intended to get people involved with other players and encourage a social community. Even TTT'ing a good thread is better than just barfing text into a window. Consider it a captcha you have to read a bit think for.

In addition, constructive posts should perhaps be awarded 1 point a day instead of weekly.

and who decides what posts are constructive? besides we posts ~100 posts per day to AT only so that's bit much to read.

It isn't so bad really. You can't force people to visit your forums and mingle with the population. Most would simply stop going for the bonus if that wae the case I think.

Besides, the only reason I joined the forums was for the free bonus points, but I ended up sticking around to post other things cause I like most of the people here based on what I have read.**

Would it serve its purpose any better or just the same if those kind of threads were closed? I don't know if you'd get ppl just posting bs in real threads to get their bonus or if they'd actually try to make a real post :)

Honestly, if it were up to me (which I know it isn't!!!) An honest post should be more than a few words. Say maybe about 12 characters long? AT THE LEAST??

I would even be more happy with TTT posts than a BLATANT diarrhea post saying "I'm just spamming in 0 real words or less"...


OneMansArmy: I don't know you too well, but I can honestly say that you at least try to contribute to or try to start a conversation or topic in a manner that we can converse with each other on. You don't spam bs (that i've seen), you actually try to be heard, and you're not a senseless idiot!

I'm not asking for much.. all i'm saying is- if you're gonna post, at least try to get a meaningful response out of someone over it... Forums are for conversation. Not bonus points.

If we get people onto the forums that's good.

If they decide to just post "BONUS", then i'd prefer that not bump my announcements threads or B&S or other useful threads, and spam such threads; i'd prefer it to be contained in some corner....
