I guess this is really a complaint. The wiki looks very nice these days in terms of organization and layout, but it seems we are regressing and losing information? For instance, under buildings, we've lost all of the info about what they ACTUALLY do. As in, how many bushels/units do farms/industrial complexes actually produce. I know all of this used to be there. Has it just been moved somewhere else or is this information really being deleted to make things more "aesthetic" or simple?

Yeah, I asked this in the Q&A forum also. I swear some of the formulas I used to go there to find are getting harder to track down.

Also, today I went on the wiki to find the networth of a barrel of oil. I found it on the networth page, but I think it should also be on the oil page. Going to the oil page, I should be able to learn everything there is to learn about oil, just as an example.

Not meaning to be a douche to General Earl who is doing a great job overhauling the wiki btw. I just want to see it stacked with information! Even if that info comes up in multiple places.

The reason behind this change is because we're moving toward integrating the wiki into the actual in-game documentation and game formulas are not within the scope of _official game docs_. You can still find the information you're looking for.. it's just in different places. In some cases, check the discussion page of articles (for now). Eventually, there will be a complete section on formulas that is _player maintained_.

I see. So the game will sponsor a player edited page that includes formulas, but will not offer the formulas itself?

Actually. that page along with other units DOES have the information about NW value and upkeep costs and food consumption. Click the 'More info...' part and you'll see it.

What is not exactly laid out are things like EXACTLY how to make a break (although I should mention how tech affects unit strength)

Also, if you follow the attack chart and look at the PS page, it tells you there is a 50% bonus. Though, I suppose you are right.. that should be changed (now that I think about it).

ok, so if you go back to the jets page (or http://wiki.earthempires.com/index.php/Military_units ) do you think that is better? I've made it more clear extended info is available, but also updated attack strengths for PS attacks, and added a little about how tech affects.

cause it's a table and displaying it all at once looked kinda funny.. not to mention I wanted to make use of some of the abilities the upgraded wiki software offered :)

Without getting too technical.. basically the Military units page is made up of each of the individual articles on each unit. I wanted to display the full info on the page for each unit itself, but couldn't figure out how to show it 'open' on each page, but closed on the full list. For the most part, the basic information is all people REALLY need, but the extra stuff is there just in case someone REALLY needs to know, and it's not too hard to find.

I guess I understand, but it's disappointing. Also, I like that you added the message on the main page about being able to find the information, but it is really not that easy to find things. If you search anything about industrial complexes or production, it will not tell you how much it will make (not even any discussion pages etc), but if you go to jets, then you see how much it could produce (but how can you get that to come up in the searchs?). I'm sure it's all a work in progress but it seems like it would be nice if the "old" wiki were still available in the mean time.

PS, there's nothing stopping people from adding to or modifying anything on the discussion pages.. I went through page histories and thats what I found. If there is anything else I missed, you'll have to add it yourself.

Im a little confused here, discussion part of wiki's isnt to hold info like that, it should be on the "page" o_O
