Ill be able to play much this set, but ill try my best, this morning my phone slipped out of my hand and flew right into a water puddle with diesel in it, not only I went bannanas, but it now smells like the inside part of my truck's fuel tanks, on a positive note, the key pad is a lot more smooth now, but lags, laaaaaaaaaaaaaags as I type and phone is doing weird fluff, ie, now it thinks I just connected the charger to it :/ well, hopefully it'll make it to next Monday when I get back home and go to the sprint store.

throw it on the defrost heater for an hour or 2... worked for me.
dont know about the diesel bud,
but i heard rice works for water

Ya, thnx guys, it happened this morning, I took the batt off and put it next to the heater outlet for few hrs, seems to be ok, but has couple lingering side effects :(

koh removing battery and throw it in a big zip loc bag with rice is the safest way and works almost all the time unless you've already shorted and burned the circuitry.

I don't recommend heaters, it can actually cause additional damage a lot of times. There are also many adhesives and rubbery stuff inside that you can melt and cause it to go haywire.

Dont think you should charge it before it completely dried up.. and the water puddle had diesel in it it might spontaneously combust

The funny part of all of this, I did EVERYTHING I was suggested NOT do, LOL! Then again, I didn't have access to internet until the phone dried and started working again, I'm amazed its not fried! LOL!

lol no diesel won't do that. Even gasoline takes a lot to combust.

You can use those packages they put in products to keep them dry.

hell, diesel requires compression before it'll combust. drop a match in a bucket of diesel and it puts the match out.

Comfirmed, however, if diesel is very hot it will light up quickly, on diesel engines there's a return line from the engine and that fuel is between 165-205 F, after few hrs of running, the tanks warm up and start producing vapors, those vapors are xtremely flamable and will work as an ignition source.

ok i'll rephrase. the temperature for volatilizing diesel is sufficiently high that it's unlikely to occur outside of a) compression or b) a hot engine.
