I'm working on improving this, but old spy ops are always useful because of strategy classification. For example, a farmer may prefer to landgrab other farmer countries. A week old spy op is still useful in that case.

I’m out of the loop having not played much the last year or so, and the forums don’t tell much of a story atm. Grapevine told me tho that Monsters is getting attacked by Mercs and co.

I find that extremely interesting because of the power vacuum effect described by William Golding. Typically when a tyrant loses power, it opens a vacuum in which another tyrant essentially perpetuates the same problems as their predecessors. For example, Iran has had dozens of revolutions led primarily by the people, but you can count on one hand the number of just leaders they’ve had in the last two millennia.

Even so, I just found myself curious why people would come after the old heads and gentlemen of the game. They’re typically the nicest diplomacy cats so I got curious and didn’t see anything on the forums so why not ask publicly? So what gives?

I’m sure it’s probably some LaF hunting going on, but figured I’d ask on behalf of some old friends and allies. Typically if diplomacy broke down with Monsters, you never tried diplomacy. It’s sort of the opposite argument than LaF being terrible at it. Typically they’re very good at it and solutions to problems are very very easy.

I’ll be the first to say bullying people without any attempts at diplomacy would more or less make you guys hypocrites in sermonizing tolerance while skimming for a ministry to pretzel. My feelings unabashed.

Btw no one has the right to attack my character when it comes to Evo. As a player who tags with Mercs most sets I have devoted plenty of turns, time and resources to protect the interests of Evo. So if anyone thinks that I am against Evo, you are wrong.

The game was a lot more fun when we caught gerdler grooming new players like Blackhole to suicide for LaF to eliminate his netting competition like tmac.

This round currently has dozens of untagged players. Actually the most untaggeds in many years.

That means that the entire LaF suicide squad is out now, Hiding in the shadows like venomous LaF snakes waiting to strike. You all thought that taking eestats down would make tracking your suicider asses harder but it hasn’t. It only made express and primary harder but Little Italy graciously solved that issue.

I love how LaF once again becomes what they claim

And for clarity purposes, Mercs and Sol tried testing the new game mechanics last week and reported issues to qz as we found them.

Mercs actually declared war on Sol in order to test attacks on clanGDI, etc and found we could not attack Sol even after 48 hours.

For whatever reason, the game allowed both Sol and Mercs to attack LaF in under 48 hours. Call it getting mehul’d for all I care now considering you guys were all jumping tag during that time period, introducing all sorts of new variables.

Perhaps the LaFer who created the LaF tag jumped to a new tag and it messed with the timer?

Can someone from LaF please confirm that from 2024 you will be changing your name from La Famiglia (a mafia associated name with ruthless intent) to Le Fighe (The Pussies) to more accurately reflect your current behaviour?

To the OP, LaF was only ever as dominant as their best allies. They'd have been wiped out a few times if it weren't for major warclans lapdogging (colloquially lapdogging in ICN was always called "LaFdogging" because they always had a strong war clan preventing what should be inevitable).

I think that's essentially the difference between me and a former RD color, and I don't say that to denigrate what a great player and overall human being you are, gains. You know I liked talking to you before you became miserable every time we spoke, but perhaps I'm the only one viewing that as a loss of a friend.

I'd like folks to have access to all the same information as me, be placed at a level playing field as me and for me to still win on the markets and place higher than them. I will happily share my turn by turn strat to make 80m on teams (hybrid) or 5b on FFA (tech transfers) gladly. And I was the first netter to share hybrid destock which netters kept secret with the community for actual years. I don't think secrets benefit anyone, and I like a good level playing field.

Caps lock yelling at me that I have the ability to test whatever you're doing to exploit the standing order system, does not encourage me to test whatever you're doing to exploit the standing order system, rather, further validates that the integrity of what was posted about how it works is bullfluff, and that people with access to the code knows how it actually works.

If I win a server using methods that aren't public knowledge, I work to remedy that for the good of the game, the community and for parity in competition. You, on the other hand, desire most of all winning, and will do anything including killing my tags over the years with bots to do so. We're very different that way.

Yeah that particular one is an actual lack of access and not something some math people came up with. They're exploiting a bug you'd need to know how the mechanic actually works for, which has not been described to the community.

I've unearthed what I assume is about 90% of LaF secrets about math they were given inside info on, and posted it all in an effort to increase parity. Unfortunately never learned what bug they exploit on essos tho, and it's been around forever. That particular exploit they hold tight to the chest, I'm assuming because it is an actual exploit and they'd get deleted for exploiting bugs if it came out what they do.

Been wrong before, but this one has always looked and smelled like fluff.

I've gotten close to understanding that it has SOMETHING to do with minimum sell prices where the market auto buys and back ended essos, but it's clearly a bug getting exploited they don't want changed because it's how they pump the dons.
