I was running a war country and only switched to netting once it became clear no war was forthcoming. I had something like 120 missiles... record for top 10? I also had a decent SPAL all set.

The old SoF website is now back online after being gone for a couple of years. We have also moved back to our old web address https://sof.earth2025.net

We had to restore the site using a backup from 2012. Any former SoFers from before 2012 can login to the site using their old passwords. Any past SoFers who joined post 2012 are still entitled to an account, so feel free to apply to have an Inactive account created for you.

A further announcement regarding SoF and next set is coming soon.

As long as TC is in leadership for M4D i will NEVER pact with M4D.

What if I recruit TC to join SoF when we make our comeback next set? ;)

If you brought back Deitylord or Duque and have one of them go lead a FS right away on SOL, in the same circumstances, and the result would be the same. War has changed a lot.

Long time vets who have no EE warring experience. There are very few chat leaders who can effectively lead kills on modern wallers, of which SOL has a few wallers.

How many people in the game could successfully lead a warchat to kill me if I was walling? There are a select few who could.

You need experience to learn how to fight in the modern game. War leaders need time to develop that warring experience.

You cannot expect an alliance that has not warred a decent opponent since Earth2025 to come in and blast away an alliance that has refined its warring skills in EE every set.

Any alliance in war that is predominantly mobile based is at a tremendous disadvantage compared to an alliance on PCs. It is a real issue.

Attack speed in warchats. The difference between pc and mobile for attack speed is so huge that I always push members to attend warchat from pc. Maybe need the ability to hold down “attack again” so it spams attacks.

Further to the above, SOL, Mercs, SoF and LAF (before they folded) cut their teeth fighting each other constantly and each set ramped it up ever so slightly over the previous set.

Walling is such a huge factor and target selection ever more important. In E2025 you didn't need to study your targets so much to work out whether you could kill it. Having a ton of troops also does not stop you from dying like it used to.

People in E2025 never had to employ the tactics used today to kill wallers.

War has changed a lot in the past few years and people who have no warring experience since E2025 are sadly not up to pace with it. It is a bit of a learning curve unless you have experienced war leaders.

There was no mass exodus or players quitting. In fact as a result of his actions the main alliances all grew in the lead up to a large server war. Derrick was not playing at that time. We called that war the "SPERM War"... SOL/PDM/Evo/Rage/MD vs SoF/LAF.

It's a thing called "tag responsibility".

It means that if someone leaves your tag, you're still considered responsible for them for 72 hours after they detagged, or you removed them.

That's why people are telling him to talk to Jouster.

It came about because for awhile there, people would tag up, use tag protection to grow, then leave tag and suicide.
Sometimes because that was always their intent, sometimes because they got the fluffs on and want to cause issues.

And further to what Drow has properly stated, the 72 hour policy has been in existence since Earth2025 days.
