alliance server has the alliance website and the alliance infrastructure built in, which allows with great success for you to learn both the game, the styles of play, the differences between servers, and any other such knowledge or information you might need to succeed further.

also, the alliance based servers are the easiest to make friends, as you will be introduced to a ""family"" almost, and everybody there will welcome you with open arms (some of us need hugs in our lives in order to keep on trucking)

Reason I said this server isn't for people who are looking to return to the game is because people get killed for making landgrabs here. Depending on who you hit, it's a "new", unstable server where politics is non-existent. You can die for all sorts of stupid reasons, and you could be deleted for even more reasons. If you want to try, you can try, but never go untagged cuz untags have no rights here.

It'll also be good to read all the stickies before you begin.

That and this isn't the same game you played years ago, it's a different game that uses some of the things you used to know. In Alliance, they will update you on everything, but if you are the type to try things out yourself, you can always try Express. However, note that GDI works different on Express and Primary servers. The Wiki is incomplete, the rules and description of the game are also incomplete, the best way to learn your way around here is to ask Marshall because he has the patience and memory of an elephant. Though most other people are also helpful, so long as you stay off AT, Team Talk, and FFA talk.

he technically is not, no. at first i used it as a pejorative, in regards to his actual name, representing the florida gators. but once sol and rd had our well deserved and very much enjoyed detente, him and i have grown to mutually respect one another- where we get still to poke or jab, but we understand it's all in good fun and we look forward to the next time- at least on my end. but i don't doubt for a second i actually insult him, he's a good guy and should understand poor humour when he sees it, and has done a more than decent job in returning it my way ;)

you sure about that? from my experience, this guy is oversensitive. i used to poke fun with him on these forums too, but now i'm more careful.

which is a shame, seminole, as some of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to meet 'new' people is speaking through war.

we went from enemies to bitter enemies to enjoyable conversation to damned close to friends- certainly a.mutual respect.was borne from it..

it makes the game more enjoyable on a whole, really.
