No, I built all of my turns while in protection and the following day when coming OOP with no bushels. You just have to do everything 1 turn at a time, but I played my first 180+ turns without buying a single bushel. My country came OOP stronger than ever with lots of cash. After I ran my last turn after coming OOP, I bought food and defensive military, but i did not need them prior to that.

I'm guessing the PCI decline is not cumulative, as it only appeared to be a few hundred dollars difference with/without food. The cost of maybe a dozen bushels. I did not have to build any farms that would just be torn down either.

but you build like forty farms at bpt of 20.. negligible waste of either turns or moneys- and this helps fund your early building, to boot.

and i run cashers, so the pci loss, cumulative or not, is not my friend :P
