My ONLY interactions with TSO have been after I became a mod. I couldn't care less about TSO, and have ZERO reasons to play favorites on this server. Most of my 'evo friends' quit this server long ago, and many of them play/have played in TSO. So please, enlighten me some more about how I am so biased against TSO?
Why have you deleted TSO multiple times without reason and in nonsensical fashion? Elves, iScode (in prior sets), and now mdevol and akula? Actions speak louder than words.
You love to play the victim, but since your involvement this server has plummeted from what it once was. I find myself actively trying to recruit every set just to replace the people who leave because you are terrible, and everything you touch turns to fluff. You still appear to encourage suiciding and topfeeding, and in turn discourage the people who find netting enjoyable... and since apparently that isn't enough, you also discourage war with random deletions to TSO to chase the war guys out as well.
I thought maybe the community of this server was starting to get through to you. We had some conversation that seemed like you genuinely cared. I know other alliance leaders have as well. So what caused the regression? Why were two countries deleted for killing a topfeeder who had not been hit outside of retals/missiles from other countries that the topfeeder had hit prior? There was no prior war, no prior special attacks of any nature...
I really don't get you. If you are going to try to help the server, then help. If you are going to continue with trigger happy deletions, then please leave. What on earth did you think would happen when you deleted two innocent countries without any explanation and then disappeared for a week? Your actions continue to chase people out of this server, and at this point, the server really cannot afford it.
Unfortunately for me, my arrival on the server coincided with the institution of the new rules. I realize the new rules are unpopular with many people(although definitely not all, and perhaps not even a majority), but I have nothing to do with that. They will be changed/revoked if and when martian and the admins(read: qzjul) decide to do so.
As far as deletions, let's walk through some of them. Elves was a mistake and I apologized and revoked the deletion. That was due to the rules being incredibly loose at the time, and me not understanding the point of the rules at the time. After that incident, I started a long discussion with the other mods and posted the updated version, which was much much much clearer, in an effort to help you help us help you.
Scode's deletion last set was because he deliberately fluffed with another tag to provoke a war. More or less what ingle said in his posts here: http://earthempires.com/...ollude-33179?t=1410411076 This decision was discussed on the mod board, and other mods backed up my decision.
mdevol was deleted another time a while back because he didn't check the news before starting to kill a country. I think another guy followed his lead(or vice versa), and they both joined into a war that was already going on. I don't even remember if I was the one that did it or not, as we had more active mods at that point.
There was another situation a few sets back with euroix that I did NOT delete you guys, because I partially agreed that the rules were not clear enough. I specifically said that I understood your point of view and told you not to do similar things in the future.
And then this set. Pretty much as bstrong said. #72 fluffs with #56. #56 responds with several grabs and 13 CMs and some EMs. About 8 hours later, milfsex jumps in and kills him. That's not even enough time for #72 or his tag to decide an appropriate response. Speaking as a player, if someone retals me like that, then it's on like donkey kong. You guys removed even that simple choice(which he would have taken) by jumping in and killing him. Yes, I realize you think he's a 'suicider' and that you're doing everyone a favor. I urge you to actually look at the news and see his history. Did he topfeed some people? Yes. Did many other people grab him as well? Yes. I personally thinks it's a stretch to call him a suicider for a couple of topfeeds(however annoying they may be).
Of course I knew you wouldn't like that, so I posted it on the mod board and told mdevol to talk to martian, as I wasn't going to reverse my own decision. I'm sorry you didn't get a quicker response, and I'm sorry we can't agree on what's right and what's not. Hell, I'm sorry for a lot of things at this point, because it's equally frustrating for me to be hamstrung trying to do my job, all the while fielding blame either for things that were/are out of my control, or had nothing to do with me. This whole thing is frustrating for everyone involved and there's not a whole lot we can do about it unless qz suddenly gets a lot of freetime, pang comes back fulltime, or they get another programmer(or two).
