The mods only pay attention when they feel like deleting people they dislike. They have no interest in actually upholding the rules, or supporting the server.

Or pay attention when people provide proof that people are cheating, but instead of penalizing the cheaters they deny it and call the accusers "conspiracy theorists" and put them down with snide and insulting remarks like "Good day sir", this presumably because they are in league with the cheaters and are old butt buddies from the ancient days of Earth 2025. Its complete bullfluff.

The mods also make up all kinds of fluff about how they are so great and powerful when in fact they are so untrusted by the admin staff that they have no access to market data, and the tool they used to have to see which player played what countries historically hadsbeen removed, so they are utterly uselesslittle pricks who march around insulting and lying to those who provide information about cheats while supporting cheaters and ruining the game by allowing cheats to "win" with no consequences and legitimate honourable players to think about giving up in disgust.

what is the purpose of winning, if there is no integrity ?

I won't give up, its just all sort of aggravating. I love the vicious fight to the top in this game. The fight encompasses not just an individual set but a clash of philosophies that can get quite personal. It is just a game and my attacks on the Boards are rhetoric. I hope they will persuade people that ethics and honour are more important that winning at all costs. If the mods can't uphold basic principles of fair play in the game and instead turn on the very people who are fighting for an equal playing field and clear rules, then we have a serious mod problem.

I should clarify that my gripe is with Tella. Other mods may prance about like Napoleon, but Tella has succeeded
in really pissing me off

Tella has been busy with RL stuff and asked martian to deal with this. Martian closed a thread about it and posted that a resolution was to come. This is on martian not on tella.

i haven't mentioned it once, and i don't think anyone else would be were there some kind of further response. I'm not complaining, i just won't run on this server again.

It's not excusable to delete countries and then disappear for a week. This server continues to lose members because the mods here do not do their jobs.

Don't volunteer to be a mod if you are going to delete countries and not respond to appeals.

Martian already responded, and mdevol is the only person being rational here. mdevol, I'm sorry if you think your deletion was in error. Martian is the one to talk to, as I told you, and he has already posted about it on these boards. If you have issues, please take it up with him.

fordy, you can bite my shiny metal ass. There's a difference between wading through the fluffstorm that is team talk, and posting on AT in my limited free time. I apologize for not spending more time holding everyone's hand here, but as mdevol has said and I re-emphasized, I've been busy. So yes, I have time to shoot the fluff on AT, while I've been leaving the moderation to other mods, whom I notice you guys don't bash nearly as much as you bash me.

If those actions are being construed as cheating, or being against server rules, it needs to be publicly made clear that deletions will follow the same pattern in the future, and if they are not that needs to be said as well. Martian said he was going to respond and then disappeared.

And I apologize for that. Attacking me on the forums isn't going to help you, but I guess I'll be the scapegoat if you wish. Hell, I've been the scapegoat from day 1 when I started modding this server. I believe the first interaction I've ever had with Vamps was him saying I was biased against TSO when I had been a mod for less than 4 days. Great way to start, eh? Or how about those wonderful new rules that you all love to hate? I had nothing to do with their creation, and was more or less handed a steaming pile to try to manage and enforce. Not my idea, but I get the blame. Yay :/

As i have said from the beginning, this instance is not on Tella, this is on Martian.

Martian made the post and said he would respond, there were 96 hours of no response to the appeals. whether or not he posted anything about it (he didnt) he did nothing in regards to the pending appeals to the point that I said fluff it and created a country so i didnt lose anymore turns.

Where did I attack you, tella, or anyone, directly? I said the lack of mod response was bad.

I deleted, posted on the mod board because I knew it would most likely blow up into something, and as I was not going to reverse my own decision, it was no longer my problem. I received a forum message, which is why I looked into it. Until my earlier post, I had been too busy to check the forums regularly. As I have said again and again, you need to use the ingame tool or send a message to a mod. Mdevol sent me a skype message ages ago and I told him to check with Martian.

You guys need to grow the fluff up. Do you know why you don't have enough mods? Because you act like spoiled fuxking children who can't stop crying that your favorite you was taken away because you were using it to destroy your rooms. Nobody wants to touch this server. I was asked to help out to cover the last burnout, and unfortunately for me, this was just after red proposed the new spirit of the server rules(which I had nothing to do with).

Since that point, I have been the only mod active on these boards, and I spent a good deal of my own free time to try and work with you to fix this fuxking server. I helped get the rules better defined so you could actually follow them. I realize that because I was the only person actually interacting with you that I got blamed for every single thing that happened, whether I actually did anything or not.

You morons should be pissed at red x for creating the damn rules, and then more or less walking away from the server and leaving me to try and enforce them. But hey, shoot the fuxking messenger, right?

I'm not on this server but I've been following some of the moderation thats been coming on with other servers. Mods jobs are tough, especially when they probably aren't getting paid. Be happy the game is still running and has some people are willing to try their best to keep it running (players). That being said, moderators should be above personal attacks and recognize that whiny gamers gonna whine. You got to rise above the personal attacks and not throw words like morons back at the people you are moderating. It's unprofessional and makes it appear that you would be biased against them in the future. For justifications, point to the rule broken and move on. If they appeal look at the data, make a call, and move on. Your job is to regulate, nothing more.

Oh I absolutely agree. I've been told not to waste my time responding, and I know logically I shouldn't do so. But it's hard when you are vilified from day one when you're honestly trying to help.

Your "venting" does more than accomplishing nothing. It undermines your authority. You are making your job even harder than it already is. Stop. The fact that it is a voluntary position does not give you free reign to be unprofessional.

Make no mistake, tella is extremely bias. This is why he should not mod. Especially if he claims to know better . Giving him a lesson in how to effectively administrate is a waste of time and tooting your own horn really. It wouldnt be a fun job for him if he couldnt talk fluff and flex. Tella is a great player but a horrible mod.

The problem I see is people (both mod and players) bring their personal hatred of certain people with them from other servers.

I didn't even know Tella until my interaction with him on this server. His bias against my my friends, and against TSO in general, has been shown ingame and well documented on these boards.

Once again, smart guy, you were calling me biased when I had been on this server for less than a week. Your TSO buds are also my friends on Alliance. Boltar was a friend, mdevol is someone I coordinate with all the damn time on alliance, elves was heading up pdm for a while(one of our closest allies), dragon is in Sol alongside mdevol. Who the fluff am I supposedly biased against? The ONLY possible cause for any perceived bias on my part is directly as a response to players' actions on this server AFTER I became a mod. My ONLY interactions with TSO have been after I became a mod. I couldn't care less about TSO, and have ZERO reasons to play favorites on this server. Most of my 'evo friends' quit this server long ago, and many of them play/have played in TSO. So please, enlighten me some more about how I am so biased against TSO?

The only possible person you could attack me for would be scode, but unfortunately for your argument, I think he and I see eye to eye on this server for the most part. He doesn't like the rules, but he goes out of his way to follow them to avoid breaking them. And yet the person who has probably had the most issues with the rules is mdevol, and again, he is someone I chat with constantly.

Why have you deleted TSO multiple times without reason and in nonsensical fashion? Elves, iScode (in prior sets), and now mdevol and akula? Actions speak louder than words.

You love to play the victim, but since your involvement this server has plummeted from what it once was. I find myself actively trying to recruit every set just to replace the people who leave because you are terrible, and everything you touch turns to fluff. You still appear to encourage suiciding and topfeeding, and in turn discourage the people who find netting enjoyable... and since apparently that isn't enough, you also discourage war with random deletions to TSO to chase the war guys out as well.

I thought maybe the community of this server was starting to get through to you. We had some conversation that seemed like you genuinely cared. I know other alliance leaders have as well. So what caused the regression? Why were two countries deleted for killing a topfeeder who had not been hit outside of retals/missiles from other countries that the topfeeder had hit prior? There was no prior war, no prior special attacks of any nature...

I really don't get you. If you are going to try to help the server, then help. If you are going to continue with trigger happy deletions, then please leave. What on earth did you think would happen when you deleted two innocent countries without any explanation and then disappeared for a week? Your actions continue to chase people out of this server, and at this point, the server really cannot afford it.

Sure there are other cases where you can say tella messed something up but this is not one of them.
