That's not how it works blid. You can't just add up land totals and assume there is the same amount of supply vs demand.

If you look at last reset, there was a lot more land all around.

Last reset:
10 countries above 70k
14 countries above 60k

This reset:
2 countries above 70k
10 countries above 60k

Countries were that much larger (20% or more larger) last reset on the whole, so you need that much more farmer land as well to keep up with more demand.

The low land sizes this reset on the whole is due to the low prices of food, low tech prices, low mil prices... pretty much the only countries above 70k this reset are the happy cashers.

And the Dict farmer I'm talking about is Arathodoxia, 62k land.

yea Narsc had a great set before getting hit. I would think 125M is a good estimate for where he could have finished, perhaps just a bit more. Still would have finished way behind the cashers though.

Blid/Xin: I'd think the lack of cashers hurt food prices as well. Even when tehy aren't stocking cashers need lots of bushels to feed the peoples!

Let's see if any of the 2 reps will crack 150m. 4th or 5th member of the 150M club, and if rules change next set, I doubt we'll see 150M again.

Definitely Bobby. It's a combination of a lot of factors
- Low casher count
- Primary Cause switching into farmer mid-set (this is major, each of the 3 big farmers were supplying 20% of the market each (food generated per day vs volume sold per day on eestats), for a total of 60%)
- More people going corruption bonus, thus less food demand
- Lower land amounts all around causing less food demand, and because stock sizes are proportionately lower compared to the constant 2b base before corruption kicks in, less food is bought on the whole
- There are just a lot more farmers in general as well, because of last reset's exceptional food prices.

I would have thought they had to jump higher by now to get past 150M unless they are jumping from public.

About all the people going corruption bonus, I'm gonna be honest and say corruption bonus annoys me a bit. I only get about 75% of bonus points b/c of RL/etc. So I can't ever go corruption bonus:(

qz/pang shoudl really monetize a bit. I'd probably be willing to pay more then I should admit ($5/set?) to guarantee bonus points every 24 hours without clicking heh...

I think this set made it clear that corruption bonus is a big gamble. It only pays off if food peaks past a certain point. And you need to guess that early in the set. Plus you run the risk of bomb banks or stock hunting grabs.

In my opinion a fascist is the only one that should be using corruption.

Didn't even check the tech market, though that thought has crossed my mind before - there was an Express set I finished with $400m on hand because all the markets were empty, and I kicked myself after for not buying up tech. But I was kind of running out the door here, also accidentally took my turns at 22:59 and then saw I had another turn 15 seconds after I just sold all my food and cashed out haha.

I got him deleted, lol. He and another guy took turns attacking me, then he and that same guy took turns attempting espionage on me. They failed like 3/4 attempts and I ignored it, but when I found out what else they were doing to other people I finally reported them for multi/coordination and they went purple immediately. Hopefully for multi, because the coordination wasn't that extreme.
